SOFIA SEGERSSON

"For stronger and better bonds between patients, the healthcare and the industry.
Less loneliness, more knowledge and more awareness."

Sofia was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 2008 - a lifelong condition that til this day still has no cure and requires round-the-clock management. The level of knowledge in society is neither high enough for people with type 1 diabetes to feel safe, nor for funds for research to be collected at a fair pace.

Sofia has run Diabetesia as a self-employed entrepreneur since 2015 - and has over the years lectured, written magazine pieces and debate articles, blogged, participated in the media, developed campaigns and concepts, moderated discussions and performed consulting work mainly within marketing and communication.

Her long-term goal is to support people living with type 1 diabetes, but also to act as a spider in the web to create stronger bonds between patients, the healthcare and the industry.

ONGOING PROJECTS

Sofia is a busy bee and usually has a bunch of different projects going on. Below you can read about what she is working on right now!
